libopenexr6 software package provides runtime files for the OpenEXR image library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libopenexr6
libopenexr6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libopenexr6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libopenexr6 *
You will get with libopenexr6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
